Denisha Brown

Denisha Brown

The focused web of lines that make up Denisha Brown‘s visual vocabulary are the result of careful, grid-like drawings which take hours to complete.  Her intricate patterns unfold organically, without planning or rulers,  fanning out and slowly engulfing Denisha’s chosen work space.

Denisha continues to explore the possibilities of line and pattern while experimenting with color and elements of composition, as evident through her large-sized piece, Sopido Torpedo.  Each tiny line breaks the overall piece into colored compartments.

Her desire to take each new piece to the limits of its potential is evident in Denisha’s dedication to the completion of every drawing.  She works at home and at the artist studio, taking her pencils and papers with her everywhere she goes.
